My sisters and brothers in Christ,
May the peace of the Lord Jesus be with you. We begin the third week of Lent and we continue reflecting on the mercy and love of Jesus. Has it been a good Lent for you so far? Have you taken seriously the mandate to REPENT and BELIEVE in the Gospel?
For those who are enrolled in our OCIA process (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) formally called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) the Lenten season is the time when they are continuing their journey to the Easter Sacraments at the Easter Vigil. For those who attend the 10 AM Masses on the Third, Fourth and Fifth Sundays, the Gospel readings will be taken from Year A-The woman at the well, the man born blind and the raising of Lazarus. We ask that you continue to pray for our sisters and brothers who will celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation and make a Profession of Faith at the Easter Vigil.
May we never forget that our Lord Jesus loves us unconditionally and the only thing that he asks is that we be faithful and be humble enough to come to Him with a penitent and contrite heart. If it has been a year or longer since we went to confession, please consider this gift of Christ’s forgiveness as you continue in the Lenten journey.
Mis hermanas y hermanos en Cristo,
Que la paz del Señor Jesús este con ustedes. Comenzamos la tercera semana de Cuaresma y seguimos reflexionando en la misericordia y el amor de Jesús. ¿Ha sido hasta ahora una buena Cuaresma para ti? ¿Has tomado seriamente el mandato de ARREPENTIRTE y CREER en el Evangelio?
Para aquellos que están inscritos en nuestro proceso de OCIA (Orden de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos) antes conocida como RCIA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos), la Cuaresma es el tiempo en el cual continúan su camino hacia los Sacramentos Pascuales en la Víspera de la Pascua. Aquellos que asistan a las Misas de las 10 am en el tercer, cuarto y quinto Domingo, las lecturas del Evangelio van a ser tomadas del Año A- La mujer en el pozo, el hombre que nació ciego y la resurrección de Lázaro. Le pedimos que continúen rezando por sus hermanas y hermanos que van a celebrar los Sacramentos de Bautismo, Primera Eucaristía, Confirmación, y haga una Profesión de Fe en la Víspera de la Pascua.
Nunca olvidemos que el Señor Jesús nos ama incondicionalmente y que la única cosa que él nos pide es que seamos fieles y suficiente humildes para venir a Él con un corazón penitente y arrepentido. Si ha pasado más de un año desde que nos confesamos, consideremos por favor este regalo del perdón de Dios mientras continuamos nuestro camino cuaresmal.
